Founded in 1949, for the first 42 years Stott Outdoor Advertising served only the communities of Chico, Paradise and Oroville, which are located in Butte County, California. That tradition of outdoor advertising and a great deal more, is alive today. While Stott continues to be the dominant billboard company in Butte County (population 220,000), the company's expansion now includes more than 400 bulletin facings located in 24 California and four northern Nevada counties. Additionally, in a number of California markets, the company operates out-of-home advertising in the form of Transit Shelters, Bench Ads, and Bus Advertising.
