What is CDSL authentication TPIN

Before understanding what CDSL TPIN authentication is, one must know the meaning of CDSL.There are two depositories in India that are CDSL & NSDL.

If your broker is the member of CDSL and you haven't submitted the Power of Autherny or DDPI any one them documents then if you want sell any stocks or asset from the your demat holding then you need to authorize CDSL TPIN from the CDSL website.This indicates to depositories that your intention to sell holdings.

 This is the 6 digit special code, which sends by CDSL at the time of demat account opening.When you sells holding then this code is required.

Sometime if you authorized TPIN from CDSL website then due to heavy traffic site may get stuck and you waste too much valuable time, if you don’t want to waste your valuble time and want to sell hassle free stocks or asset from holding then you need to submit POA or DDPI.
